And you thought just because the show was over and the theater lights had come up that Carrie Bradshaw was gone for good. Think again, people. HarperCollins and Candace Bushnell are bringing her back as a teen for The Carrie Diaries, scheduled for release in 2010. It’s a two-book deal too (uh, so that’s at least two movies, or a Gossip Girl-The Hills-esque show, or both). Bushnell says in the release: “Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd—she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene.” But who will play Carrie? Despite SJP’s talent at girlish behavior, no makeup artist is that much of a miracle worker.
